Info for schools

CHE work with a number of both state and independent schools across the UK, providing opportunities for cultural exchange between Japanese and British school children of all ages.

Our most rewarding and successful programmes include ‘integration’ between our visiting Japanese groups and local schools.  Such programmes embody one of the founding principles upon which our organisation was built – to encourage true understanding and respect across cultural barriers.

Integration activities can vary greatly, as can the age of the students involved.  We work with UK Primary Schools and children as young as 5 years old right up through to Sixth Form students, many of whom have formed lasting friendships with visiting Japanese students.

UK Schools who wish to be involved do not necessarily have to teach Japanese as part of the syllabus, however many schools that do have gone on to incorporate our integration programme as part of their Japanese language course.

If you are interested for your school to become involved in an international cultural exchange of some kind or would simply like more information, please send an email to: info@culturalhomestay.com
