Kyoko is a long term exchange student in England (August 2005 - January 2006) from Hiroshima. She was given a letter from the Mayor of Hiroshima to give to Queen Elizabeth, along with 1000 origami paper cranes (senbazuru), to show solidarity after the bombs in London in July 2005.

With the assistance of the Japanese Embasssy, she went to London to Buckingham Palace, where she handed over the letter and cranes. On the way she saw many of London's sights.
